Stafford Castle is a historic attraction on Newport Road, just outside Stafford town centre. The site includes the castle ruins, a visitor centre, woodland walks, interpretation displays and open green space, making it a useful place to visit for local history, family walks and views across Stafford.
The visitor centre helps explain the story of Stafford Castle, from its Norman origins through to the medieval period, the Civil War and later restoration. The wider site is also popular for informal walks, family visits, photography and outdoor events.
