Police have introduced dispersal orders in Stafford and Stone town centres following concerns about anti-social behaviour as schools break up for the summer holidays.
The Section 34 dispersal orders are in place this weekend and also cover Grindley Park in Blythe Bridge.
Stafford Borough Police said the orders have been introduced after reports of anti-social behaviour, with officers aiming to help residents, businesses and visitors feel safe in the affected areas.
What the orders mean
A Section 34 dispersal order gives police officers additional powers to direct people to leave an area for a set period.
The powers can be used when officers believe someone is causing, or is likely to cause, harassment, alarm, distress or disorder.
Anyone who fails to follow a direction given under the order may commit an offence and could be arrested.

Local Policing Deputy Commander for Stafford borough, Daniel Egerton, said police want people to enjoy town centres and Grindley Park safely as the summer holidays begin.
He said: “As we reach the end of the school term and move into the summer holidays, we want everyone to be able to enjoy our town centres and Grindley Park safely.
“While the vast majority of young people behave responsibly, we have seen incidents of anti-social behaviour that have had a negative impact on local residents, businesses and visitors.
“These dispersal orders give officers additional powers to deal swiftly and effectively with those whose behaviour causes concern.
“We will continue to engage positively with our communities and take robust action against those involved in anti-social behaviour or disorder.”
