Spud Man has confirmed a new date for his postponed visit to Rugeley.
The popular jacket potato trader will now visit the town on Saturday 22 August 2026.
The original event had been due to take place on Saturday 25 July. However, it was postponed after Spud Man announced that he had been admitted to Royal Derby Hospital with a serious infection.

Visit rearranged following hospital admission
Spud Man shared the hospital update on Facebook shortly before the original Rugeley date.
As a result, the visit had to be delayed while he recovered.
A new date has now been arranged, giving people in Rugeley another chance to attend the event later in August.
Rugeley chosen through public vote
Rugeley was selected as one of Spud Man’s next stops following a public vote.
The planned visit had attracted significant local interest, with many people looking forward to seeing the jacket potato trader in the town.
Spud Man, whose real name is Ben Newman, has built a large online following through videos from his food trailer and visits to towns across the country.
