Swimwell Academy has announced it will train 16 new swimming teachers this July as part of an investment in the future of swimming across Staffordshire.
To support the training, Swimwell is offering local families the chance to book five-day crash courses for children at a reduced cost of £30, which works out at £6 per lesson.

The Stafford-based swim school says the programme is designed to help meet growing demand for swimming lessons while creating more qualified instructors for the future. The training will take place over two intensive weeks at Swimwell’s purpose-built teaching facility at Kingsmead Retail Park.
Affordable crash courses for local children
As part of the programme, trainee teachers will gain practical teaching experience under the supervision of Swimwell’s experienced tutors.

The intensive courses aim to help children build confidence in the water, improve their swimming technique, make quicker progress through daily lessons and prepare for summer holidays.
Julie Hand, Director of Swimwell, said:
We believe investing in people is investing in our community. By training 16 new teachers locally, we’re helping create future employment opportunities while ensuring more children can learn this life-saving skill. Our crash courses are a fantastic opportunity for families to benefit from intensive lessons at an incredibly affordable price, while also supporting the development of our future swimming teachers.
